 | Chez Grand Mere, our third holiday gite, sleeps up to 3 people.
Tastefully renovated with hardwood double glazed windows set in mellow stone walls the accomodation still offers much of the character and charm of old world France. Terracotta-tiled floors, and rustic wood-buring stoves are combined with the modern essentials such as dishwashers, microwaves and washing machines.
Each property has its own large terrace with BBQ and share the lawned garden, orchard, swimming pool (5m x 10m) and extensive sun terrace.
The fitted pine kitchens are fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay and the rooms are tastefully furnished to a high standard. Shops are close by, with a local store only 3/4km away and supermarkets, bakers, butchers and banks in Alunay 4km, St. Jean D'Angley 12km and Saintes 35km.
There are numerous chateaux, churches and historic buildings within easy driving distance, but the pretty towns and villages with their market places, squares, Maires and churches seem to pop up every 10 minutes, as you travel through this place of times gone by. |  | ||||||||||
